We docked in Sarandë, Albania, and took a bus to the ruins of Butrint, at times
a Greek colony, a Roman city, and a diocese of the Byzantine Empire. The tour
guide, who grew up within sight of Butrint, talked about her father’s terror
when she was a child and picked up a dud bomb and how happy her father was about
the fall of communism in Albania.
Back at Sarandë, we had only a brief walk through town before returning to the
ship. On the ship, there was a tour of the bridge. And, according to my
records at BoardGameGeek, I played Ticket to Ride Ευρωπη, although I do not
have a clear memory of that.
