Great Barrier Reef day. I looked at fishes, so you look at fishes.
The tour starts with a boat ride, maybe an hour and a half, to a fixed
pontoon at the Great Barrier Reef. Then you have five hours on the pontoon,
then the ride home (unless you spring for a helicopter). At the pontoon, there
is snorkeling in a marked area, observation windows below water, tours in a
glass-bottom boat and a semi-submersible (a boat seating at window below the
water), a buffet, some science talks, and whatnot.
There are plenty of companies offering tours, so it can be troublesome to
evaluate the options. I was happy with Reef Magic.
