On June 3, Alex and I flew home, on separate flights. Long flights; I watched the entire Last of Us series and Booksmart, although I do not remember much the latter. United Airlines downgraded my seat from San Francisco to Boston and mishandled the compensation for that and generally did not do a great job throughout my four flights with them.

Overall, New Zealand appealed to me a bit more than Australia. It seemed a bit more relaxed and pleasant yet well organized and on the ball. If I had to live in one of the cities we visited, I would consider Auckland or Sydney first, maybe Melbourne. Then Wellington, Hobart, and Cairns. Rotorua and Yulara would be last primarily because of their small sizes.
